Philippine independence
Are you aware about the recent battle or conflict between different countries? Do you know how hard it is to live in a battlefield with no assurance that you’ll see the next day? And are you aware what is really freedom and independence?
It’s been more than a century when our country was in the control of outlanders. Conquering our lands and stripping us of our rights. They thought of us as low life, a breeding den and such. Like a caged bird with no freedom to fly. Battle or conflicts are still a thing even in the modern times, like the battle against Iraq; between Pakistan and Israel.
Though, it brought forth some development, like education system, infrastructure, religion and etc. The negative effects outweigh the pros. After all, most of positive effect is done to benefit the colonizers; it is not originally meant for us.
Because of the bravery, strength and intelligence of our heroes; a fellow countrymen who cared about the state of our country, we we’re able to obtain freedom and independence. Free from the grasp of others like a free bird that will soar the skies. Not under control of others. It was the courage and intelligence of our leaders; our heroes who fought and sacrifices their lives just to be freed from strangers.
For centuries, we got what we wanted for and on June 12, 1898, our independence declared at Kawit, Cavite. This was a very important event because we were freed from strangers and we stood by our own feet. We can do what we want for our own welfare and to the whole nation as well. We could continuously do and improve things that are very important in our everyday living; for the improvement of our one’s life.in other words, our independence is very important not only for the good and welfare of a few but the whole nation.
