festival held every 22nd day of January in Vigan City.
Amidst to the pandemic, the City
Government of Vigan celebrated the Longgganisa Festival 2021. Some activities were
held thru on-line, other thru face to face following strickly the safety health
protocols of the national government against covid-19. One activity held was
the Longganisa Cookfest. Participants used longganisa as the main ingredient of
their menu. Only the participants, judges and organizers were present in the
said event. It was categorized in two; first is freelance and the second group
was from schools. Contestants didn’t cook at the same time as it was usually
practice before; instead, they cook one at a time in front of judges, while
